Abstract

The author in the article considers the interdependence of freedom and responsibility as the  basic characteristics of the person. The interpretation of these definitions in vocabulary sources, as well as modern teachers and psychologists is considered. Great attention is paid to the views of V.Sukhomlinsky on the interdependence of freedom and responsibility of junior high school students in the establishment of secondary education. The author focuses on the changes in the initial part of education. Noting that the younger school age is characterized by rapid development and dynamic changes in the personality of the child and is an important stage in the formation of cognitive motivation of schoolchildren.Justifies the main tasks of modern elementary education. According to the author, the new Ukrainian school should ensure the comprehensive development of the child's individuality as a personality and the highest values of society on the basis of revealing her desires, abilities, the desire to study, be educated and responsible, and consciously adhere to the tasks set for him in the elementary school. Of particular value in this context are changes in the initial link of education. The younger school age is characterized by rapid development and dynamic changes in the personality of the child, and therefore is an important stage in the formation of cognitive motivation of schoolchildren. The task of  modern primary education can not be realized without creating a special, fundamentally new educational environment in which a child can enjoy the educational process, feel successful and independent, because as noted V. Sukhomlynsky, formation and development of the individual directly depend on the conditions in which is the child, but how she feels in her.
